Instructions for washing and perfect ironing of the shirts
Prewash and Wash
Soak the dirty shirt in warm water with hand washing soap, 3-4 hours at least, or preferably from the evening before you intend to wash it. Hand pre wash the dirtiest areas, usually the collar and the cuffs, with neutral soap. Wash the garment in the washing machine with detergents and conditioner suitable for the used temperature, not higher than 60 degrees since at higher temperatures the shirt might be damaged.
Ironing To perfectly iron the collar and the cuffs, and to avoid wrinkles in the fabric, moisten them thoroughly and keep them very straight whilst passing over the hot iron. Let it rest then iron again until it has dried. Moreover, it is important to iron the collar and the cuffs on the reverse side first, and then again on the right side, being careful to keep them well stretched. To avoid the fabric turning yellow, use a handkerchief or some layer of white cotton fabric between the iron and the collar. It is very important to remember to remove the whalebone from the collar before washing and ironing.
